So I was chipping ice of my windshield this morning, and I accidentally put the ice scraper through the cowl, which I discovered is made of a plastic that's apparently quite brittle in this weather.
Oops. It's not a very important piece, but all the same I would have preferred not breaking it.
Oh well.

At least you didn't put the scraper through the windshield; that would certainly have been a lot more troublesome.
